I ran across some info about this site on SLAM, as I was trying to find some Monster Mopar info.
Here is the run down:
Names Scott, I am in Kansas City, Member of HPAC, operate the CBodyDryDock.com website and board, own half a dozen Mopars, and I have been hooked on Pentastars my whole life.
Enough about me -
My pride and joy is the 69 Fury III vert in the middle of my sig. I have had it since I was 15, almost 20 years now. Not to brag, but... It is one of the meanest, seriously custom, Fuselage Fury's out there. Only about 10% of the original car remains! I built it to drive and enjoy, somewhere along the lines it became a lot more. Several body modifications, hot 440, TTI's, 3" exhaust, 17" Billets, narrow axle, custom interior and top, deep Patriot Blue paint with a ton of pearl, and I just keep tweaking! There is quite a saga in putting this together and saving it, took 3 other cars!
The white truck started as a 71 D100 Adventurer SE with a 318. A previous owner tossed a 400, 727 and a PowerWagon suspension under it. I call it the Franken Truck. It is a beast, with parts spanning nearly 20 years on it! It just got a set of aluminum slots mounted last week. The rumor is only about 500 trucks got the woodgrain exterior treatment, but the records to prove it are all destroyed.
The crew cab is my newest project, a 70 W200. It is super cool! It did about 20 yrs in the Air Force, then about 10 fighting fires for the Forestry Service, then a couple years at a prison and then I got it from a community college in Nebraska. In all that time it managed to rack up 51,000 miles and immaculate service, although I think they put out some of the fires with the body! No rust, mechanically perfect, still has all the data plates and stickers from the USAF & USDA, starts and idles like it was fuel injected! The bad news is the fire engine yellow paint was very quickly and poorly applied and it has lots of little dings in it. But, it is the perfect project! I can handle ugly, I don't like rust. We do know there were only 914 W200 crews made in 70.
Anyway, I plan on being at Monster Mopar in STL and Goodguys in KC this year. If you happen to have or like C bodies (yeah people really do!), wander over to www.cbodydrydock.com, I know Ralph is a regular there as well.
